Guidelines and Suggestions

At Just In Thyme Foods, we understand the importance of flawless execution of your event and prompt, professional service. We will take care of each and every detail during your event so that you don’t have to worry about a thing. After all, the most memorable events you host will be the ones you also get to enjoy. In order for us to make your event memorable for both you and your guests, we ask that you follow these Guidelines and Suggestions to ensure that your event goes off without a hitch.

Planning

Although we will do everything possible to accommodate last minute functions, we’ve found that the most successful events have been planned with a minimum notice of 3 business days.  This time frame allows us to provide the highest quality food as well as the best staffing needed for excellent delivery and service.

Staff

We have a great crew of professional and experienced servers and bartenders who are available for the events we cater. Our normal staff uniform includes black slacks, black closed toe shoes, white dress shirt and black aprons. For more formal affairs, tuxedo shirts and ties may be requested. Please let us know your desired staffing level for your special event. We always recommend hiring the appropriate number of servers and bartenders to ensure that your event runs seemlessly. Gratuity is appreciated.

Equipment

Equipment rental includes items such as tables, chairs, bar and dinner glassware, china, serviceware, coffee service, bar service, etc. There are several options to consider when it comes to choosing equipment for your special event – full seating/partial seating, buffet/plated, standard equipment/premium equipment, etc. Based on our years of experience, we will guide you in choosing what is best for your event and budget.

Linens

The options are endless when it comes to linens for your event. From satin, organza and silk to taffeta and twill, we will help you select the best option to accommodate your tastes, desires and budget. Speak with your Just In Thyme Foods representative to discuss available options for the seating tables, cocktail tables, buffets, bars, service tables, gift bag tables and escort card tables.

Beverages

Just in Thyme Foods can accommodate all of your bar needs including specialty drinks, soft beverages, mixers, bar fruit and coffee service. Whether you are looking for a champagne brunch or a full premium bar, we will work within your budget and theme guidelines. Bar pricing is an estimate. The final cost of beverages is based on consumption and is determined post-event. Any beverages not consumed, iced or opened can be returned for a credit post-event.

Special Menus

We realize that hosts may have special requests and guests may have special diets. We will work with you to create a preferred menu including kosher, organic, gluten free and vegetarian. Additionally, Just In Thyme Foods is skilled at preparing a wide variety of specialty dishes using customer provided recipes. If your event includes specific recipes, please allow additional time to ensure all ingredients are available and the recipe is tested.

Guest Counts

When you call to book your event, please offer an expected guest count to help us provide a firm cost estimate. Confirmation of the estimated number of guests is required 48 hours prior to an event. We will work with your initial estimate if we do not hear otherwise.

Cancellations

Cancellations received up to 48 hours before the event will not be charged, provided catering has not incurred any extraordinary costs for the event.  After that, cancellations will be charged a minimum of 50% of the estimated cost.

Pick-up Orders

Just In Thyme Foods’ Thyme Maker Meals are available for pick up and/or delivery.  We offer free delivery for orders over $30.  Please refer to the Weekly Thyme Maker (TMM) Meal menu for more details on delivery dates that week.

Payment

For Special Events, we require a credit card number at time of booking. Depending on the order and date, a 50% deposit may be required. Full payment is due upon the completion of your event except for weddings, in which full payment is due one week prior to the event. Please be sure the person responsible for payment is available at this time or the credit card on file will be charged.
